About the Artists
Sol and Wen, from Shenyang and Shenzhen, respectively, are seasoned artists who studied together at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
After Wen obtained her master's degree in jewelry design at Union Française BJOP in France, she returned to China to marry Sol.
The two eschewed a traditional wedding and used their dowry money to start Dongchang, later opening four stores in the city of Shenzhen.
The two frequently showcase their art designs at galleries throughout China, focusing on infusing contemporary art with traditional Chinese elements and creating jewelry collections based on their designs. They frequently give lectures at art schools and institutes throughout China.
In 2023, they launched Amoy to adapt their jewelry designs for a more international audience.
